Here is an opportunity to show Mom she is young at heart by taking her on a unique outdoor adventure.
We'll meet at Tidelands Park on Coronado Island, have an introductory paddling lesson, then launch our kayaks for a paddle under the beautiful San Diego Bay bridge. We will explore along the shore of Coronado Island on our way to the Ferry Landing. We will dine at one of the local restaurants where we'll enjoy a fabulous no-host brunch on the patio. After a satisfying meal we will paddle back to Tidelands Park.

We use stable, comfortable 2-person kayaks that are easy to paddle for a safe and enjoyable day on the bay.
A truly unique way to show Mom how much you appreciate her adventurous spirit.

Join us for a beautiful morning of kayaking on Miramar Lake in Scripps Ranch. The lake has 4 miles of shoreline so there is lots of area for exploring.
The lake is home to many water birds such as ospreys, mallard ducks, great egrets, great blue herons, and American coots. In addition, hundreds of birds stop here during their annual winter migration.
After in introductory kayak lesson, we will explore the lake looking for birds in our quiet kayaks. Bring your binoculars and see how many different species you can find.
8-Days/7 nights, January 1-8, 2010
This tour uses a cabin at a lodge, which will be our home each night. The lodge is located on a private island within the 10,000 island area. We will take shuttle boats out to the local islands and mangroves where we will be dropped off to explore in our kayaks. We will paddle an average of 5-8 miles each day.
Some days we will get dropped off on a white sand beach on one of the 10,000 islands and spend the day exploring the small keys in the Gulf of Mexico. Along the way we will encounter dolphins, sea turtles, white pelicans, and snowy egrets.
