Join us for three days of paddling on the Colorado River where it flows through Black Canyon just below Hoover Dam. Viewing the huge dam from a tiny kayak is quite inspiring. This is a beautiful stretch of river with Hot Springs, Waterfalls and a Sauna Cave to enjoy. Big Horn Sheep, Bald Eagles and Ospreys also inhabit the area. This is a great paddle to learn to be self-sufficient in a kayak. Participants will be responsible for their own camping gear, food and water.
Here is your opportunity to socialize and view beautiful San Diego Bay by kayak.
We'll meet at Glorietta Bay for an introductory paddling lesson. Then we'll launch our kayaks for a leisurely tour of San Diego Bay traveling under the scenic Coronado Bridge. We'll land on the beach at the Coronado Ferry Landing and walk to Peohe's for a scrumptious lunch. As we relax out on the patio we'll have a beautiful view of the downtown skyline. After lunch we'll paddle back to Glorietta Bay.
