Start Kayaking! (619) 282-3520

Families

One of the things that I most appreciate about my parents was their teaching me a love of nature and the outdoors at a young age. I have fond memories of loading up the Chevy station wagon and heading out before the sun was up on some new adventure.

Now one of my favorite activities is sharing my love of kayaking with other families. Kayaking enables people of all ages and abilities to enjoy the outdoors and view nature from a very intimate setting. We have a natural curiosity for new sights, sounds and textures. If we play outside where our curiosity is rewarded, we keep those warm experiences with us throughout our lifetimes.

We make it very easy for your family to come along on our 3-hour local tours. We provide stable tandem kayaks so the big folks can double up with the little folks. We also have comfortable life vests for all shapes and sizes as well as paddles that fit large and small hands. Our ACA certified instructors make sure that your experience is safe and comfortable and fun!!

Activities for Youth Groups

We provide Kayaking Adventures for Youth Groups!

Examples are:

Bird and Turtle Discovery Tour, Chula Vista Wildlife Reserve

The Chula Vista Wildlife Reserve has just been modified with new tidal creeks and channels which allow the rising tides to coarse through the area more efficiently and create new habitat for fish.

This new environment creates a great habitat for endangered birds such as the light-footed clapper rail, western snowy plover, California least tern, and thousands of migratory birds, as well as the eastern Pacific green sea turtle.

Our weekend dates have the perfect tides for exploring and our quiet, slow-moving kayaks will not disturb the turtles or the neighboring bird habitats.

Bring your family and friends and come on down for an enjoyable few hours of exploring this beautiful nature reserve.

We make it easy for you to join us on this paddle. We provide all the kayaks, life vests and equipment plus an introductory paddling lesson. No previous kayaking or swimming experience is required.

We use stable, comfortable kayaks that are easy to paddle for a safe, enjoyable day on the bay.

Cost is $44 per adult, $18 per child (2-14 years of age) sharing a kayak with an adult. Includes kayak, life vest, paddle, introductory lesson, and instructor/guide. $22 discount with your own kayak.
