Fathers' Day Brunch Paddle at Lake Hodges

We had a sold out paddle for Fathers’ Day this year. Eight families came along for a beautiful day at Lake Hodges.

We launched about 9:30 in the morning and paddle up to the dam. Then at 11:30 we landed at Hernandez Hideaway for a delicious brunch.

There were hundreds of Western Grebes on the water as well as at least 30 Snowy Egrets and Great Egrets following us along the shoreline.

The sun was out and the wind was down which made paddling very easy and fun.

Due to the great turnout for both Mothers’ Day and Fathers’ Day, we have added a Grandparents’ Day paddle on September 13.
