Kayak El Capitan "Fun Raiser"

Hosted by The San Diego River Park Foundation

Join us for this fully guided kayak tour on East County’s El Capitan Reservoir – one of the only places you can kayak on the San Diego River.

Learn about the River Park Foundation’s ongoing land conservation efforts and the numerous recreational and wildlife values of this incredibly beautiful yet fragile area.

We’ll meet at the El Capitan Reservoir boat launch ramp, then launch our kayaks for a beautiful tour of the reservoir and check out some key areas of conservation interest. No previous kayaking or swimming experience required.

Bring your camera and enthusiasm – we expect the hills and mountains to be green from winter rains and wildflowers will surely be out in abundance!

Light lunch provided at 11am

We provide all the kayaks and equipment plus an introductory paddling lesson.  Cost is $50 per adult, $35 per child (2-15 years of age) sharing a kayak with an adult. Includes kayak, life vest, introductory lesson, lake entrance fee, lunch and nature guide. $15 discount if you bring your own kayak and paddling equipment.
